Visit the Cape Charles Coffee House and shops on Mason Avenue and the the Marina. Biking, kayaking and paddle boat rentals are available at the Marina. The town has a new, 200 foot long pier for fishing, crabbing or watching the worlkd's most beautiful sunsets.
 
 
  Two new attractions in Cape Charles include and Irish Pub and the Bay Coast Railroad. The Pub is a favorite spot or sipping your favorite ale or eating fish and chips. Join the locals on Monday night for afriendly game of darts. The Bay Coast Railroad will begin operation of passenger service in the spring of 2007. This 1913 train will be restored to its period style and elegance.
Travel down US Route 13 and explore Tangier Island and the National Wildlife Refuge in Chincoteague. Other activities in clude harbor parties, decoy carving events, craft fairs and pony penning.

Take a 30 minute drive across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel and enjoy such attractions as the Virginia Beach Boardwalk and oceanfront, the Marine Science Museum, MacArthur Mall, the Chrylser Museum, Nauticus Maritime Center, Harbor Park and Waterside. Busch Gardens or Colonial Williamsburg are wonderful day trips from the Shore.
